I bought all three in this series and I am glad that I did. I gave them "only" four stars-because there isn't anything thats revolutionary in them. Were they not so inexpensive-I'm not sure they would be worth it-ALL of the information (nemonic devices) are available through other sources and most of them are free. However, these books save you from searching or coming up with your own-and the books in and of themselves integrate the nemonic devices in the individual books and in the series.
It is an easy to learn book, very brief and effective in how to learn your piano keys, very nice.
This truly is an easy way to learn basic piano knowledge. In ten minutes I knew much more than I had ever known about playing the piano. Easy. Quick. Effective. A must read for beginners.
I thought the book really helped. Really took 10 minutes. Also the book shows memory tricks, and shows good tips.
This is a great find! I have tried other lessons but this one is really easy with lots of helpful pictures...if I were to recommend a beginning piano book, it would be this one!
I am an adult trying to learn how to play piano and I have always struggled with the names and position of the keys. I use the "every good boy does fine" mnemonic when I am reading music, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive when I have to apply it to every note.This book simplifies learning piano keys in an amazingly effective way! I read the book in about 10 minutes (as the title states) and I can now visually identify the piano keys much faster! Also, my 3-year old son was interested in the book because of the adorable illustrations, and he has now started to dabble with the piano keys too because he thinks it is fun!I would HIGHLY recommend this simple and innovative approach to quickly learn piano keys!
I'm a pianist; I teach as well--and as I read this book I found myself thinking, "Oh my goodness, why didn't I think of that!" I will be incorporating these ideas into my lessons, especially with little ones. Thank you!
Very easy to understand for kids and parents! Trying to learn myself to help my 10 year old son, who can only play by ear at the moment.
